Why Miami Drivers Choose Renter Over Everyone Else
I started Renter after hearing the same complaints from clients for years at other companies: cars that didn't match the photos, delivery drivers who showed up two hours late, insurance that wasn't explained until you're standing at the counter, and prices that magically increased at pickup.
We built this business specifically to eliminate those problems. When you rent an exotic car in Miami from Renter, you're dealing with people who actually care about the experience, not just processing a transaction.
What Makes Us Different in the Miami Market:
We're Miami-Based, Not a Franchise: Our entire operation is here. I know which streets in Wynwood have the worst potholes, where speed bumps hide in South Beach, which valet stands at Brickell Avenue restaurants can't handle low-clearance supercars, and the exact route from MIA to South Beach that avoids construction.
Airport Delivery That Actually Works: When you land at Miami International or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, text me from baggage claim. I meet you at arrivals with keys in hand. The handoff takes 10 minutes. I walk you through the car's features (launch control, driving modes, how to not scrape the front splitter), verify your documentation, and you're driving to your destination before most people even make it to the rental car shuttle.
Real Vehicles, Not Bait-and-Switch: The Lamborghini Aventador you see in our photos is the actual car you'll drive. Same color, same specs, same condition. If something legitimately goes wrong with a specific vehicle, I call you immediately and offer a comparable replacement or full refund. I don't play the "upgrade" game where you suddenly owe more money.
Pricing Explained Before You Book: Insurance deductibles, mileage limits, fuel policies, delivery fees, everything is explained upfront on our website and again before you commit. No surprises. If it's not listed online, you don't pay for it.
Miami Airport Delivery: MIA & FLL
Most exotic car rental companies claim they offer airport delivery. What they actually mean is they'll meet you at some off-site parking lot 15 minutes away, or worse, make you take a shuttle to their location in Doral or Hialeah.
Not here. We meet you at Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) at arrivals. Curbside. The actual airport.
How It Works:
- You land and text us from baggage claim with your terminal and carousel number
- We confirm your exact location and give you a 5-minute ETA
- We meet you at the curb with your reserved vehicle, already detailed and fueled
- 10-minute walkthrough covering the car's features, controls, and Miami-specific driving tips
- You drive away to South Beach, Brickell, Wynwood, or wherever your Miami plans take you
No extra fees for airport delivery within Miami-Dade or Broward counties. That's included in your rental rate because it should be.
I've done hundreds of airport deliveries during Art Basel chaos, Ultra Music Festival weekend, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, and regular Miami traffic madness. I know how to navigate it smoothly.
Chauffeur Service for Miami Events
Some situations call for letting someone else drive. Weddings at The Biltmore in Coral Gables. Corporate dinners in Brickell where parking is $75 and valets treat supercars like bumper cars. Nights out in Wynwood where you want to enjoy yourself without worrying about a $300,000 Ferrari.
Our chauffeur service isn't just "someone who drives." These are professionals who understand Miami traffic patterns, know every major venue's loading and valet procedures, and have driven every vehicle in our fleet dozens of times.
Popular Chauffeur Service Scenarios:
Weddings: The Kampong, Vizcaya Museum, The Biltmore, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, we've delivered Rolls Royces and Bentleys to every major Miami wedding venue. Our drivers know where to park without blocking ceremony sightlines, when to arrive for optimal photos, and how to coordinate with venue staff.
Corporate Events: Client dinners at Zuma or Cote in Brickell, conferences at the Fontainebleau, executive airport transfers, we provide discreet, professional chauffeur service for business situations where showing up in an exotic car matters, but driving it yourself doesn't make sense.
Nights Out: LIV at the Fontainebleau, Story, E11even, any South Beach club where valet is chaos and parking is a nightmare. Let us handle the driving so you can focus on your evening.
City Tours: Want to experience Miami in a Bentley Continental GT but don't want to navigate yourself? We'll drive you from South Beach to Wynwood to the Design District to Coconut Grove, giving you the luxury experience without the stress.
Hourly, half-day, or full-day chauffeur rates available. Tell us what you're planning, and we'll structure pricing that makes sense.
Long-Term Exotic Car Rentals in Miami
Not everyone needs an exotic car for just 24 hours. Snowbirds spending winter in Aventura, executives on month-long projects in Brickell, Art Basel visitors staying three weeks, or locals who want to experience daily life in a supercar, we offer weekly and monthly rental packages with legitimate discounts.
Rental Duration Discounts:
- 7-13 days: 15% off daily rate
- 14-27 days: 25% off daily rate
- 28+ days: 35% off daily rate
These aren't fake discounts. They're real reductions because longer rentals mean less turnover work for us and more consistent revenue. Everyone wins.
What Long-Term Rental Actually Looks Like:
I've had clients rent a Porsche 911 GT3 for the entire January-March snowbird season. After the first week, the exotic rental stops being a "special occasion" and becomes their actual daily driver. They take it to Whole Foods in Aventura, drive to dinner in Coral Gables, run errands in Coconut Grove. That's when the experience really clicks, when a supercar becomes your normal car.
Popular Long-Term Scenarios:
- Snowbirds staying at Bal Harbour or Sunny Isles condos for the season
- Film and TV production crews in Miami for extended shoots
- Executives relocating temporarily for business projects
- Clients whose custom-ordered exotic car is delayed in production
- Anyone who wants to truly experience living with a supercar daily
Production, Music Videos & Content Creation
Miami's music and creative scene is massive, and we support it regularly. Music video shoots in Wynwood Walls, commercial productions in the Design District, influencer content on South Beach, fashion shoots in Brickell, we understand production realities.
What We Provide for Productions:
Multiple Vehicles on Set: Need a Ferrari 488 GTB, Lamborghini Urus, and Rolls Royce Wraith all in the same shoot? We coordinate delivery and timing so all vehicles arrive when cameras roll.
Production-Friendly Rental Terms: Standard exotic car rentals limit mileage aggressively. Production shoots often need vehicles parked at locations for hours with minimal actual driving. We adjust terms to match how productions actually work.
Miami Location Knowledge: I know which parking garages in Downtown Miami allow filming, which streets in Wynwood have the best mural backdrops, where you can park supercars on South Beach without getting towed, and what time of day produces the best lighting at different locations.
Insurance Clarity: Productions need certificates of insurance. We provide them quickly, clearly listing coverage limits and requirements. No confusion, no delays.
Popular Production Scenarios:
- Music videos with luxury car scenes
- Commercial shoots featuring exotic vehicles
- Social media influencer content
- Fashion photography with automotive backgrounds
- Film and TV scenes requiring exotic cars
Production rates negotiable depending on vehicle count, duration, and specific requirements. Contact us with your shot list and timeline, and we'll create a package that works.
Miami's Exotic Car Fleet: What We Actually Offer
Our fleet focuses on vehicles people actually want to drive in Miami, not just whatever was available at auction. Every car is selected based on demand, Miami suitability, and overall condition.
Supercars:
- Lamborghini Huracán: The most requested exotic car rental in Miami. Perfect for Ocean Drive cruising with enough ground clearance to survive Miami's terrible roads.
- Ferrari F8 Spider: Convertible supercar with Miami weather in mind. The exhaust note echoes perfectly through Brickell's building canyons.
- McLaren 720S: For clients who want performance over flash. Faster than most cars on our lot but less attention-grabbing than a Lamborghini.
- Porsche 911 GT3: The driver's car. Track-capable performance with enough practicality for actual Miami use.
- Corvette C8 Convertible: America's supercar at a realistic price point. Mid-engine layout, convertible top, exotic performance without the exotic price.
Ultra-Luxury:
- Rolls Royce Cullinan: The ultimate luxury SUV. Perfect for Brickell corporate events or transporting wedding parties in absolute comfort.
- Rolls Royce Ghost: Pure luxury sedan. When you need to arrive somewhere important and money is no concern.
- Bentley Continental GT: Grand touring excellence. Long-distance comfort with supercar performance when you want it.
- Aston Martin DB12: Understated British luxury. For clients who want exotic performance without the attention.
Luxury SUVs:
- Lamborghini Urus: The SUV that started the luxury performance SUV trend. Supercar performance with actual cargo space.
- Mercedes-AMG G63: The G-Wagon that dominated Miami long before it became trendy everywhere else. Iconic design, brutal performance.
All vehicles maintained at authorized dealers using OEM parts. We don't cut corners on maintenance because reliability matters more than anything else in this business.
Exotic Car Rental Pricing: What You Actually Pay
Most exotic car rental companies advertise one price online, then layer in fees until you're paying 40% more than advertised. Not here. What you see listed is genuinely what you pay.
What's Included in the Base Rate:
- The vehicle itself, fully fueled and detailed
- Delivery within Miami-Dade and Broward counties (MIA, FLL, South Beach, Brickell, Wynwood, anywhere reasonable)
- Standard mileage allowance (varies by vehicle, always disclosed upfront)
- Basic roadside assistance
- 24/7 phone support
Optional Add-Ons (You Choose):
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Reduces your liability from full vehicle value to a fixed deductible ($5,000-$15,000 depending on vehicle). Highly recommended.
- Additional Driver: Add another authorized driver to the rental agreement.
- Extra Mileage Packages: If you're planning a Miami to Key West road trip or extensive driving, purchase additional miles upfront at a better rate.
- Chauffeur Service: Professional driver for weddings, events, or situations where you don't want to drive.
What You Actually Pay For:
Fuel: You return the car with the same fuel level it had at pickup. Simple. We don't charge $8/gallon refueling fees like some companies.
Tolls: You're responsible for tolls during your rental. We use SunPass transponders in all vehicles, and toll charges get billed afterward at actual cost plus a small admin fee.
Damage: If you decline CDW and damage the vehicle, you pay actual repair costs (we provide dealer estimates and repair documentation). If you purchase CDW, your cost is limited to the deductible.
Traffic Citations: If you get a ticket, you pay the fine plus an admin fee for processing. We forward the citation to you, you handle payment.
What You Don't Pay For:
No hidden cleaning fees. No mysterious "processing charges." No made-up insurance that doesn't actually provide coverage. No mandatory GPS rentals for cars that already have navigation built in.
The price we quote is what you pay. That's it.
Insurance for Exotic Car Rentals: The Real Explanation
Insurance is the most confusing part of exotic car rentals because most companies intentionally make it confusing. Let me explain it clearly.
Your Base Liability:
When you rent an exotic car, you're responsible for the vehicle. If you total a $400,000 Ferrari, you owe $400,000 unless you have protection.
Protection Options:
Your Personal Auto Insurance: Some personal auto policies extend coverage to rentals. Call your insurance company before renting and specifically ask: "Does my policy cover exotic car rentals valued over $200,000?" Most policies don't, but some do.
Credit Card Coverage: Some premium credit cards (Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve) offer rental car insurance. However, many explicitly exclude exotic cars or have coverage limits below the vehicle's value. Read your card's terms carefully.
Our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Reduces your liability to a fixed deductible. If you crash a $400,000 Ferrari and have our CDW, your maximum cost is the deductible ($5,000-$15,000 depending on vehicle), not the full vehicle value.
What CDW Actually Covers:
- Collision damage (hitting something or being hit)
- Comprehensive damage (theft, vandalism, weather)
- Towing and recovery costs
- Loss of use while the vehicle is being repaired
What CDW Doesn't Cover:
- Reckless driving, racing, or intentional damage
- Driving under the influence
- Unauthorized drivers
- Off-road use or track use without prior approval
- Interior damage from smoking
My Recommendation: Purchase the CDW unless you have confirmed exotic car coverage through your personal insurance or credit card. The peace of mind is worth it.
Exotic Car Rental Requirements in Miami
We're selective about who rents our vehicles because these are expensive, high-performance cars that require responsible drivers.
Basic Requirements:
- Age: Minimum 25 years old (some vehicles require 30+)
- License: Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years with clean driving record
- Insurance: Proof of personal auto insurance or purchase of our CDW
- Deposit: Security deposit via credit card (amount varies by vehicle)
- Verification: Background and driving record check
What "Clean Driving Record" Actually Means:
No DUIs within the past 7 years. No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years. No at-fault accidents in the past 2 years. No license suspensions or revocations.
We verify this through DMV records. If you're uncertain about your driving record, check it before booking.
International Drivers:
We rent to international drivers regularly (Miami's a tourist city, after all). Requirements:
- Valid driver's license from your home country
- International Driving Permit (IDP) if your license isn't in English
- Passport for identity verification
- Credit card in your name for security deposit
Most European, Canadian, and Australian licenses are accepted without issues. If you're uncertain, contact us before booking.
Best Places to Drive Exotic Cars in Miami
After delivering hundreds of exotic cars to Miami visitors, I've learned which routes and locations provide the best experience.
Ocean Drive, South Beach:
The classic Miami exotic car route. Drive slowly, enjoy the Art Deco architecture, expect attention. Best time: Late morning or early evening to avoid peak traffic and cruise at a reasonable pace.
Rickenbacker Causeway:
The best driving road near Miami. Wide, smooth, waterfront views, minimal traffic outside rush hour. This is where you can actually open up a supercar's throttle safely and legally (within speed limits, obviously).
Venetian Causeway:
Scenic route connecting Miami to Miami Beach. Beautiful water views, less crowded than MacArthur Causeway. Perfect for a sunset cruise in a convertible.
Brickell Avenue:
Miami's financial district with impressive high-rises. Great for feeling like you're in a movie. Park at a Brickell restaurant, valet your Lamborghini, enjoy the reactions.
Wynwood Walls:
Colorful street art district perfect for photos with exotic cars. The murals provide incredible backgrounds. Just watch for potholes and speed bumps that will destroy low-clearance supercars.
Key Biscayne:
Island escape from Miami with great roads, parks, and beaches. Crandon Park Beach and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park are excellent destinations. The drive across the causeway is beautiful.
Coconut Grove:
Historic Miami neighborhood with tree-lined streets. More relaxed atmosphere than South Beach. Good restaurants, bayside parks, and a chance to experience Miami beyond the tourist areas.
Where to Avoid:
Downtown Miami during rush hour (absolute gridlock), most of Wynwood side streets (potholes everywhere), anywhere with aggressive speed bumps, any street that hasn't been repaved since 1987.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book?
For regular weekends, 1-2 weeks is usually fine. For major Miami events (Art Basel, Ultra Music Festival, Miami Grand Prix, winter holidays), book 4-8 weeks ahead. Specific vehicles book up fast during peak season.
Can I drive to Key West?
Yes. The drive from Miami to Key West is about 160 miles each way. Make sure you have adequate mileage in your rental package (we offer additional mileage options). The Overseas Highway is an incredible drive in an exotic car.
What if something goes wrong with the vehicle?
Call us immediately. We provide 24/7 roadside assistance. If the issue is our fault (mechanical failure, pre-existing problem), we'll arrange a replacement vehicle or full refund. If it's driver error, insurance applies.
Can I take the car to Orlando or other Florida cities?
Yes, you can drive anywhere in Florida. Just ensure you have adequate mileage. Miami to Orlando is about 230 miles each way. Popular Florida road trip routes are welcomed.
Do you deliver to the Florida Keys?
We can deliver to the Upper Keys (Key Largo, Islamorada) for an additional fee. Delivery to Key West isn't practical due to distance, but you can pick up in Miami and drive down.
Can I extend my rental if I want to keep the car longer?
If the vehicle isn't booked after your rental period, extensions are usually possible. Contact us before your return time. We'll adjust pricing and extend your rental agreement.
What happens if I return the car late?
Communicate with us. If you're running late, call or text. We'll accommodate reasonable delays. If the vehicle is booked for another client immediately after your rental, late returns create problems. We charge hourly late fees to cover the impact on the next reservation.
Can I smoke in the vehicle?
No. Absolutely not. Not cigarettes, not vapes, not anything.
Why this is strict: Smoke smell embeds in luxury leather and fabrics. Professional odor removal for a Rolls Royce interior costs $2,000-$3,000 and takes the vehicle out of service for days.
Violation fee: $3,000 minimum detailing charge if we detect smoking occurred.
Alternative: Pull over, step outside the vehicle, smoke outside, continue driving. We're not unreasonable, just protecting the vehicles.
Can I take the car to a track day?
Depends on the vehicle and the track.
Track-appropriate vehicles: Porsche 911 GT3, McLaren 720S, Ferrari F8 (track-focused exotics)
Not for track use: Rolls Royce, Bentley, any ultra-luxury vehicle not designed for track performance
Requirements:
- Must disclose track use during booking
- Track day insurance required (additional coverage)
- Prior track experience verification
- Higher security deposit
Miami-area tracks: Homestead-Miami Speedway (20 miles south), Palm Beach International Raceway (1 hour north)
Contact us before booking if track use is your intent. We'll discuss specific requirements and vehicle options.
Do you offer photography services?
We don't provide professional photography, but we can recommend photographers who specialize in automotive content and know the best Miami locations.
Popular photo locations we've seen clients use:
- Wynwood Walls (colorful murals)
- South Pointe Park (water and skyline backdrop)
- Pérez Art Museum waterfront
- Design District architecture
- Venetian Causeway
- Various Miami Beach Art Deco buildings
Most clients just use smartphones honestly. Modern phone cameras are excellent, and the cars photograph well anywhere.
Can I take the car to a wedding as the actual wedding vehicle?
Yes, that's specifically what our wedding rental service exists for.
Rolls Royce and Bentley are most popular for weddings. We coordinate with wedding planners, arrive at specific ceremony times, position for photos, and handle all logistics.
Chauffeur included for most wedding rentals (you shouldn't be driving your own wedding vehicle).
Decoration coordination: We work with your florist or decorator for appropriate vehicle decorations (nothing that damages paint or interior).
Popular wedding packages: ceremony arrival only (2-3 hours) or full-day rental with getaway car service.
What's your damage policy?
Minor wear and tear: Expected and not charged. Small rock chips, minor scratches from normal use, interior wear from normal entry/exit, that's just exotic car ownership reality.
Actual damage: We document with photos, get repair estimates from authorized dealers (Ferrari dealer for Ferraris, Lamborghini dealer for Lamborghinis), and charge actual repair costs. You receive all documentation.
If you have CDW: Your cost is limited to the deductible ($5,000-$15,000 depending on vehicle).
If you declined CDW: You're responsible for full repair costs.
Dispute resolution: If you disagree with damage assessment, we'll walk through documentation together and discuss reasonably.
Why we're fair about this: We want repeat customers. Unfair damage charges kill relationships and generate bad reviews. We only charge for legitimate damage that requires actual repair.
Can I modify your recommended route plans?
Our route suggestions are just suggestions. You're free to drive wherever you want within Florida.
That said, some roads aren't great for low-clearance supercars (anything with less than 5 inches of ground clearance). We'll warn you about specific streets to avoid, certain Wynwood streets have speed bumps that will damage splitters, some Coral Gables residential streets have terrible pavement transitions.
We share this knowledge freely because: We'd rather prevent damage than deal with repairs and insurance claims.
Miami Event Calendar: When to Book Early
These are Miami's highest-demand exotic car rental periods. Book 4-8 weeks ahead for these:
Art Basel Miami Beach (Early December): The biggest week of the year for Miami exotic car rentals. Art galleries, parties, ultra-wealthy visitors. Everything books out.
Ultra Music Festival (March): Electronic music festival brings international visitors. South Beach is packed. High demand for convertible supercars.
Miami Grand Prix Formula 1 (May): F1 race weekend. Motorsport enthusiasts rent performance vehicles. McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini especially popular.
Miami Boat Show (February): Yacht and boat show brings marine industry wealth to Miami. Rolls Royce and Bentley bookings spike.
Winter Season (December-April): Snowbirds, tourists, perfect weather. Generally higher demand than summer.
New Year's Eve: South Beach NYE parties drive demand for chauffeur service and luxury rentals.
Super Bowl (when in Miami): Rare, but when Super Bowl comes to Hard Rock Stadium, exotic rental demand is absurd.
The Honest Reality of Exotic Car Rentals in Miami
I've been doing this long enough to know what works and what frustrates people. Here's what I wish every first-time client understood:
Exotic cars are not practical daily drivers. They're low, they're stiff, they guzzle premium fuel, and Miami's terrible roads destroy them slowly. That's part of the experience. If you need practical, rent a normal car.
Miami drivers are aggressive. You'll be cut off, you'll encounter aggressive merging, you'll deal with distracted drivers on phones. Driving a $400,000 Ferrari in Miami traffic genuinely requires attention.
Everyone will try to race you. Especially Chargers and Mustangs. Don't engage. It's not worth it, and police watch exotic cars specifically.
Valet situations are stressful. Every valet claims they "know how to drive stick" or "have driven supercars before." Many don't. We provide guidance on which valet situations to avoid and which are trustworthy.
Photos and attention are inevitable. People will want photos. They'll record videos. Some will be intrusive about it. If you're uncomfortable with attention, rent something understated like the Aston Martin DB12 or Bentley Continental.
The experience is genuinely worth it. Despite the complications, driving a Ferrari down Ocean Drive or a Lamborghini through Wynwood or a Rolls Royce to a Coral Gables wedding is memorable. That's why people keep renting exotic cars, and why we keep providing them.
